Reception

Following the ceremony, the happy couple welcomed friends and family to the "reception," a.k.a. the in-house gaming convention known as GwenCon 2002.

Approximately 40 guests attended during the weekend, which featured a variety of events, including the puzzle-solving extravaganza known as "The Game" (run by Greg Collins, at right), an inspiration for the "Big Event" at GenCon 2002...

...RPG scenarios with such diverse themes as JD Wiker's "Evil Dead" game, John Rateliff's "Scooby-Doo Cthulhu" (at left), Charles Ryan's modern-day dungeon crawl ...

... Jesse Decker's "Hazzard County Cthulhu," JD Wiker's Mage game (at right), and Andy Collins' "Rock Me, Asmodeus," about a trio of demon princes attempting to steal the Rod of Asmodeus ...

... board games such as D&D Clue, Ra, and Formula De (at left) ...

... plus an actual old-fashioned puzzle, assembled by Julia Martin and others (at left).

Much fun was had by all, particularly by Velma (a.k.a. Gwendolyn Kestrel, who as you can see, loves costumes of all sorts).
