GwenCon 3.5 Day Two: Saturday (Continued)

Jill Stark's ready to keep on partying.

Jessica, Alan, Scott's elbow, and Marc match wits in the popular Egyptian-themed German board game, Ra.

The real gaming's just getting started, as Tindalos House Convention Center is transformed into Tindalos House Casino. Chris looks on as Andy, Warren, James, Beth, Ed, Mike, and Mark throw down for some Texas Hold 'Em.

Of course, the casino prides itself on its friendly customer service. Hey, folks, don't forget to tip your waitstaff!

Meanwhile, back upstairs the cops are still tangling with the cultists of the Fire Temple. Will this game ever end?

Apparently the gang didn't get enough Cults Across America on Friday night, because here are Tim, Greg, Eric, Chris, and Viet continuing the struggle for national domination.

Hey, Julia, how's the puzzle going?

Almost...there...

Kate's getting sleepy, but Jeff's still a bundle of energy!

In Part II of our "Egyptian-themed German board game" session, Rei, Gwendolyn, Jessica, and Scott (off-camera) match wits in a game of Amun-Re.

With the game on the line, Andy decides it's time to make his move and goes all in over the top. (Yes, he's been watching too much World Series of Poker.) Will this gutsy move pay off?

Uh, no.

Instead, Beth rakes in the final pot and emerges as the winner of the Hold 'Em tournament. I think she had a couple extra aces up those sleeves...

Eventually the cops run out of bullets (or targets, I'm not sure which), and the Return to the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil concludes. We'll just have to wait and see if next year holds a Return to the Return to the Return...

Saturday evening wraps up with a super-sized session of Great Dalmuti. Here, Lesser Dalmuti Marc plays while Greater Dalmuti Tammie giggles with the glee that comes only from knowing that the game is stupendously slanted in your favor.

Here's a sad look at life on the other side of the tracks, as Greater Peon Jesse prepares to deal another hand. Poor, poor Jesse.

Here, Marc learns how the other half lives after plummeting out of favor. Of course, it could be worse...he could be in the shoes of Greater Peon Scott.

Back to Saturday, Part 2
