GwenCon: A History
Back in 1999, Gwendolyn Kestrel had some friends over for a day of gaming. Due in large part to the late-summer timing of the gathering, one of the participants jokingly dubbed it "GwenCon."
With the move from an apartment to a house, GwenCon transformed itself from small gathering to weekend-long extravaganza. The first year of the new millennium, 2001, saw the first full-scale GwenCon; since then it's been an annual event. (Last year, it served double duty as our wedding reception.)
Counting that first show as half a convention, it seemed only natural to dub this year's gathering as . . . GwenCon 3.5!
GwenCon 3.5 Day One: Friday
Before
the festivities could begin, there was work to be done. While Andy labored
upstairs, Faith Price was consigned to K.P.
(Apparently, Gwendolyn was on Picture-Taking Duty.)
Upstairs,
the Random Dungeon lay waiting for unsuspecting gamers.
And Elvis...well, you just keep doing whatever it is you're doing there, buddy.
But now, let's get to the gaming!
