Umber Paragon Classes These classes use the racial paragon class rules presented in Unearthed Arcana. The races of Umber use the paragon classes listed there as appropriate (dwarf, elf, gnome, half-elf, half-orc, halfling, human, and tiefling), with a few exceptions noted here.
The other races present in Umber use the racial paragon classes listed here. Note that since Umber uses the fractional base attack and save bonus variant from Unearthed Arcana, all values in the tables are listed as fractions. The racial paragon classes won't simply be available to anyone who wants to take them. I plan on tightly controlling access to these classes--only those characters who accomplish some remarkable achievement relevant to his race will be eligible to gain levels in a paragon class. Aasimar Aasimar paragons have the following game statistics. Abilities: Aasimar paragons rely on high Charisma and Wisdom scores in most pursuits. A good Strength score is useful for those aasimar who spread their beliefs by force. Alignment: Any good. Hit Die: d8.
Class Skills The aasimar paragon’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (the planes) (Int), Listen (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spot (Wis). Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier.
Class Features All of the following are class features of the aasimar paragon class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Aasimar paragons gain proficiency with martial weapons (or, if using Unearthed Arcana’s weapon group variant, with heavy blades) and with light, medium, and heavy armor. Improved Resistance (Ex): At 1st level, one of an aasimar paragon’s natural resistances to energy (acid, cold, or electricity) improves from 5 to 10. Daylight (Sp): At 2nd level, an aasimar paragon can use his daylight spell-like ability three times per day. Skill Bonus (Ex): A 2nd-level aasimar paragon’s racial bonus on Listen and Spot checks improves to +4. Ability Boost (Ex): At 3rd level, an aasimar paragon’s Charisma score increases by 2 points.

Dragonblood Dragonblood paragons have the following game statistics. Abilities: As many dragonblood paragons have at least some sorcerer levels, Charisma is an important statistic. Strength and Constitution grant the dragonblood more combat prowess. Alignment: Any. Hit Die: d12.
Class Skills The dragonblood paragon’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (all skills, taken individually) (Int), Listen (Wis), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spot (Wis). Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.
Class Features All of the following are class features of the dragonblood paragon class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Dragonblood paragons gain no proficiency with any weapons or armor. Sorcerous Blood (Ex): Dragonblood paragon class levels count as sorcerer levels for the purpose of determining the character’s sorcerer caster level. Natural Armor Increase (Ex): At 2nd level, a dragonblood paragon’s natural armor bonus improves by 1. Breath Weapon (Su): At 3rd level, a dragonblood gains a fiery breath weapon useable once per day. The breath weapon deals 3d8 points of fire damage to all targets in a 30-foot cone; a successful Reflex save (DC 13 + Con modifier) halves this.

Gnoll Gnoll paragons have the following game statistics. Abilities: Gnoll paragons need good Constitution and Wisdom scores to help them survive in the wild. High Strength and Dexterity scores are also quite useful. Alignment: Any. Hit Die: d8.
Class Skills The gnoll paragon’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), and Use Rope (Dex). Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.
Class Features All of the following are class features of the gnoll paragon class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Gnoll paragons gain no proficiency with any weapons. They gain light armor proficiency. Limited Scent (Ex): A 1st-level gnoll paragon gains a limited form of scent. The range of a gnoll paragon’s scent is only one-third normal (detect opponents within 10 feet, 20 feet if downwind, or 5 feet if upwind). A gnoll paragon with the Track feat can use his scent to track as described in the Monster Manual, but takes a -4 penalty on the Wisdom (or Survival) checks to do so. Fast Movement (Ex): At 2nd level, a gnoll paragon’s base land speed improves by +10 feet. This stacks with similar abilities (such as the barbarian’s fast movement). It only applies when the gnoll wears medium or lighter armor and isn’t carrying a heavy load. Ability Boost (Ex): At 3rd level, a gnoll paragon’s Constitution score increases by 2 points.
