As you can see, the system still needs a little tinkering. Specifically, I'm not entirely happy with how the ranger comes out. Though he starts out behind the bard in spellcasting, he quickly catches up and then (at 11th level) passes him by. And the ranger picks up 4th-level spells at the same time that the druid and wizard! I think I'll start by bumping a few 2nd- and 3rd-level ranger spells up a level, and then dropping a few 4th-level spells off the list. That, combined with the lower caster level of the ranger, should fix the problem.
