Merrshaulk the Corruptor, Father of Demons

The ultimate enemy, Merrshaulk was the hand pulling so many of the strings behind the events of the campaign. Inspired by the Cthulhian deity Yig, Merrshaulk is a serpentine demigod revered by various corrupt and evil cultures (such as the yuan-ti). An interloper at the Primal Bargain, Merrshaulk has harbored a grudge against the four primal gods for an eternity.

Seeing as how I'd be using Merrshaulk as part of a huge final battle, I wanted to create a "stat block" for him that would facilitate easy use. Inspired by a concept devised by Wizards RPG designer David Noonan, I came up with the following template, which I also used for the rest of the Corruptor's minions. It presupposes various elements (average initiative check, average damage rolls) and includes only the most significant tactics (no point in including the myriad miscellaneous spell-like abilities he'd possess, when only the most important few would come into play in the fight).

Here, then, is Merrshaulk the Corruptor, Father of Demons, in all his unholy glory.
